WOODBURY - ? Officials are searching for a surfer who went missing off the South Shore. Police got a call about a surfer in distress near Gilgo Beach in Babylon last night.Officials have not been able to find the unidentified 30-year-old man on the beach or in the rough ocean. The water has been treacherous because of conditions from Hurricane Katia.
