COMMACK - Officials say there is a new push to install fire sprinklers in every building on Long Island.

The move comes after a college student from Commack was killed in a house fire. Kerry Fitzsimons was one of three people killed in a fire near Marist College in Poughkeepsie in January.

Rep. Steve Israel (D-N.Y.) and Fitzsimons' parents will call on Congress to offer incentives for people to install buildings with automatic fire sprinklers.
