Officials: Plane hits runway sign at MacArthur Airport

The FAA is investigating after officials say a single-engine plane hit a runway sign at MacArthur Airport.

Airport officials say the Cessna 182 was taxiing when it left the paved surface and hit the runway sign Sunday morning.

RONKONKOMA - The FAA is investigating after officials say a single-engine plane hit a runway sign at MacArthur Airport.

Airport officials say the Cessna 182 was taxiing when it left the paved surface and hit the runway sign Sunday morning.

Airport fire rescue responded and the pilot was taken to a hospital.

The extent of the pilot's injuries were unknown at the time of this report
