WOODBURY - Medical information belonging to patients in Manhasset's North Shore-LIJ system may have been compromised. Officials say an employee's laptop, which contained data obtained through the Feinstein Institute for Medical Research, was stolen. They say the laptop is password-protected, but may still be accessible. The Feinstein Institute sent out a letter to around 13,000 current and past participants. Officials say they are taking appropriate steps to minimize the risk of similar incidents in the future.
