COMMACK - Authorities say an elderly man died in a fast-moving fire at his Commack home today. The fire occurred at a home on Deepdale Drive. Firefighters say the body of the 78-year-old homeowner, Luis Danali, was found in a second-story bedroom. Officials say Danali's 48-year-old son was hospitalized with burns. There is no word yet on his current condition. Investigators say they believe Danali had a physical disability that prevented him from escaping in time. Witnesses say Danali's son tried to get back into the home to rescue his father.Fire officials say the cause of the blaze remains under investigation but they say it does not appear suspicious.
