DEER PARK - A driver was killed after crashing into a Long Island Rail Road platform in Deer Park early Saturday morning, officials say.

The incident occurred at the Deer Park station on Pine Aire Drive just before 1 a.m.

Investigators say George Seeley III, from Amityville, was driving on Corbin Avenue when he tried to make a turn and spun out of control.

No one else was hurt.

LIRR crews are making temporary repairs to the damaged platform.
