SHELTER ISLAND - Officials say a dolphin stranded near Shelter Island seems to be doing OK this morning. The animal was spotted yesterday in a creek near West Neck Drive. News 12 Long Island has learned that when high tide rolled in, the dolphin was carried into the harbor. The dolphin appears to have made it out on its own.

The Riverhead Foundation says it will be keeping an eye on the situation.
