OYSTER BAY - Officials say about 150 workers in the Town of Oyster Bay are being laid off.

Supervisor John Venditto tells Newsday that the town and the CSEA union could not reach a deal.

Town officials say the unions rejected their proposal which included a pay freeze for the next two years.

The union says the town's offer was not a reasonable deal.
