Officers credited for saving heroin overdose victim in Kings Park

The incident happened in Kings Park. (1/24/13)

KINGS PARK - Police officers are being credited for saving the life of a heroin overdose victim.

Police say the officers found the victim in his car in a parking lot on Indian Head Road in Kings Park. 

According to police, the man was passed out with a needle in his lap.

Officers and EMTs used three doses of Narcan to revive him. 

All Suffolk officers are now trained to administer the drug to help revive people overdosing on heroin.
