POINT LOOKOUT - The parents of a 23-year-old Point Lookout man, who police claim was fatally shot after breaking into a woman?s house, are demanding answers after insisting he was unarmed. According to Nassau County police, at around 10:30 p.m. they were called about a disturbance at the Buoy Bar. Police say Kurt Doerbecker got kicked out numerous times, left the bar and broke into a neighbor?s house. The homeowner told police that she was confronted by a masked man who broke into her house waving a weapon.  Police say the burglary suspect's description matched Kurt Doerbecker's description from the bar.Police say when they went to Doerbecker?s house about the burglary, he refused to talk to them and tried to leave through the back.  Officers in the backyard say he had a 12-inch knife and kept advancing toward them.According to investigators, the officers yelled at him not to move and apparently Doerbecker charged at them. Cops say at least one officer fired in his direction and it struck him.
