WOODBURY - After more than a week of gas rationing on Long Island, the system has come to an end.

Nassau and Suffolk county executives announced on Thursday that the policy would end at midnight on Friday.The odd-even system went into effect last Friday in an effort to shorten gas lines in Sandy's wake.
