OCEANSIDE - Oceanside residents are rallying today for LIPA to get the power back on inside their homes.

The power authority says it is no longer going door to door inspecting homes to see if it is safe to flip the switch.

Instead, Nassau and Suffolk county workers will be monitoring LIPA?s substations and they will give the ?all clear? to turn the power on. After nearly two weeks in the dark and slow garbage pick-up, many Oceanside residents say they've had enough.About 160,000 LIPA customers are still without power today.
