BROOKLYN - A man from Huntington is facing a slew of charges in a crash that killed a girl in the Canarsie section of Brooklyn yesterday.

Police say 62-year-old Kenneth Palache, of Huntington, has been arrested. They say officers tried to pull over Palache after an earlier hit-and-run when he took off and then slammed into two other vehicles.

A 9-year-old girl from Queens was killed. Five other people were hurt.

Palache is now facing charges that include criminally negligent homicide, driving without a license and leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death.
