WOODBURY - The deadly Seaford pharmacy robbery is prompting a new push for tighter controls on hydrocodone.

Sen. Kristen Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) wants federal agencies to make a decision on the additive painkiller.

Since 1999, the feds have been studying whether the painkiller should be moved to a more tightly controlled category of drugs.

Hydrocodone has become one of the country's most abused medicines.
