MANHASSET - Police say a nurse's aide is accused of slapping a resident at a Manhasset nursing home and then lying about it.

Rose Marie Hall, of Queens, was working with a 78-year-old dementia patient when investigators say she slapped the woman across the face.

The incident happened last year at North Shore/LIJ Stern Family Center for Rehabilitation.

State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman says Hall made false statements about what happened.
Hall is now charged with endangering the welfare of the woman.
