NTSB: Source of deadly East Harlem gas leak found

EAST HARLEM - Investigators say they have found the source of the deadly gas leak in East Harlem.

Officials say it turns out the gas main had a deadly defect. The National Transportation Safety Board said yesterday the gas main failed a pressure test. It is still not clear what ignited the gas and caused the blast that killed eight people last Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the first lawsuit in the case has been filed. A woman in a nearby building is suing Con Ed claiming the blast knocked her down and she was badly injured.
