His younger brother, Vinny, plays for the Plainedge Bobcats, whose coach, John Petrucci, has invited Michael to practices for the past three years. Last month, Petrucci decided to contact a fellow coach, Dave Fantry, of the Bethpage Eagles, to ask if he would allow Michael to take a live snap during a game. "If the circumstances were different, I knew they would do it for us," Fantry said. "So there was no doubt we were going to do it." With two seconds left in a game the Bobcats already led by a sizable margin, Michael took a handoff from his brother, running 50 yards for a touchdown. Petrucci says Michael was given the game ball.
