BROOKHAVEN - Homeowners in Center Moriches are hoping that Brookhaven officials will help bring some peace and quiet to their area by giving a noisy neighbor the boot. Neighbors say Jim Naples owns property on Wilcox Road and rents the space to a landscaping property and a grease-processing business. Residents say the non-stop, year-round racket from all the various trucks and equipment has been costing them sleep. The Brookhaven Board of Zoning Appeals did rule that the property is not zoned to have any outdoor storage, like the trucks that neighbors are complaining about. Naples is appealing the decision, claiming that the trucks have been housed there for decades.
