HOLTSVILLE - Officials responded to a call earlier today at the Holtsville IRS Center after a person reported a suspicious envelope with white powder.

The powder has since been determined not to be a threat.

Officials say the bag was noticed in the mailroom near a loading dock.

Authorities say the room was evacuated and secured. Hazmat crews responded. A small number of employees were in the room at the time.

No one needed treatment by medical personnel, and employees were allowed to return to work.
