WOODBURY - News 12 Long Island has learned that the possible school bus strike that we have been reporting could now be imminent.
According to Newsday, union leaders have unanimously rejected a contract proposal from the bus company.
The union says they plan to put the matter to a vote of its entire membership.
However, the union is calling for more talks with a federal mediator.
There's been no reaction from the bus company Bauman and Sons.
Any strike could affect thousands of school kids across the island.
