Newsday: Hempstead SD failed to submit new evaluation plan

The district could lose millions of dollars in state aid if it doesn't submit the plan. (12/11/12)

HEMPSTEAD - Newsday reports that the Hempstead School District failed to submit a new teacher evaluation plan by the recommended date of  Dec. 1.
 
The district could lose $3.5 million in state aid and be forced to lay off teachers if it doesn't submit the plan.
 
The state deadline is Jan. 17.
