BROOKHAVEN - The Town of Brookhaven is adding 16 new trucks to its fleet of highway equipment, according to Newsday.

The town hopes to prevent residents from becoming trapped during another blizzard. Last winter, unplowed roads kept residents stuck in their homes for days.

Eight trucks have already arrived, and the rest are expected by the end of the month.
