RONKONKOMA - There's a new plan to speed up the lines at MacArthur Airport.
The new program allows travelers to do a pre-screening, so they can keep their shoes and jackets on while passing through airport checkpoints.
Passengers can also go through checkpoints with their belts on and bring laptops.
The whole idea is like an E-ZPass for travelers.
This type of program already exists at LaGuardia and Kennedy airports.
TSA spokesperson Lisa Farbstein says the vast majority of travelers pose no threat at all. She says, "We're learning more about some passengers and it allows us to focus on the passengers that we know less about."
Passengers that have had the pre-screening say that they love it and it makes the security process a lot easier.
