New school zone map for Half Hollow Hills District revealed

DIX HILLS - A new school zone map of the shake up for elementary school students in the Half Hollow Hills District has been revealed.

The new map was unanimously approved by the Half Hollow Hills board of education last night, according to Newsday.

The map shows which neighborhoods kids will be going to the remaining schools after the decision to close the Forest Park and Chestnut Hill schools.

The new plan is based on enrollment and diversity across the five schools.
