PATCHOGUE - The U.S.S. Michael Murphy, named for a fallen war hero from Patchogue, will make port in Staten Island today.The destroyer was named after Lt. Michael Murphy after the Navy SEAL was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for trying to save his team during an ambush in Afghanistan in 2005.The ship will be commissioned next Saturday, then head to its homeport in Hawaii.
