Nesconset looks to slow Sonic's expansion plans

NESCONSET - Nesconset residents are speaking out against plans for a Sonic Drive-In to open near the Smith Haven Mall at a public meeting of the Smithtown Zoning Board.

Residents are concerned that besides the added traffic, the restaurant is more of an attraction and it doesn't belong in a residential neighborhood.

Spencer Hart, owner of the planned franchise says that the restaurant won't add more traffic and wonÂ’t interfere with the community.
