NESCONSET - A Nesconset landlord has pleaded not guilty to charges that he broke into his tenant's apartment and tried to sexually abuse her. The prosecution alleges that Neil Parikh, 27, broke into a female tenant's apartment overnight last month while she was sleeping, with the intention of drugging her into having sex with him. They say she woke up and he fled. According to police, Parikh admitted to them that he wanted to knock out the woman and sexually abuse her. Police say he called himself a monster in a letter of apology that he wrote to the 25-year-old tenant. A judge ordered Parikh jailed on $1 million bond or $500,000 cash bail. His defense attorney is appealing the judge's decision.
