Neighbors blame dangerous road for crash that killed boy

Fort Salonga residents are calling for improved road conditions after a young boy was killed in a three-car crash on Pulaski Road Saturday evening Police

KINGS PARK - Fort Salonga residents are calling for improved road conditions after a young boy was killed in a three-car crash on Pulaski Road Saturday evening Police say 4-year-old Finn Egan was in a car traveling on Pulaski Road when it was hit by another car coming off of Meadow Glen Road. They say Finn was with his mother and aunt, but was not properly strapped into his car seat. Nearby resident Ken Ward says the intersection puts motorists at risk not only due to speeding, but because weeds and bushes have grown onto the roadway. He also says he has made repeated calls to transportation officials, who have yet to return his messages. A Suffolk County spokesperson says the county has received no complaints about the intersection, but that the safety concerns will be examined.
