WOODBURY - ? Big job cuts were announced today by National Grid.

National Grid says it plans to slash 1,200 positions so it can save about $200 million by next March.

According to the company, the positions are all in the U.S. but it is waiting to see exactly how many of the jobs are on Long Island. The utility company says the decision to cut jobs is a difficult one but it is using more resources than revenues can support.
