WOODBURY - ? A deal has been struck in Nassau that could save dozens of county jobs. Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano and the Civil Service Employees Association have announced an agreement on voluntary furloughs.
According to Newsday, more than 5,000 county workers will be able to take up to 60 unpaid days off each year.
It is not clear how much money this will save the county. The county is trying to close a $45 million budget gap.
