WOODBURY - Nassau County has yet to finalize its contract with Veolia Transportation, increasing the chances of Nassau's 100,000 bus riders being left stranded.

Currently, the MTA operates Nassau buses, but that contract ends in December. County Executive Ed Mangano's administration promised residents it would have a signed contract 45 days after it picked Veolia, but that was more than three months ago.

Nassau and Veolia officials say they plan to have the contract signed sometime next week.
