WOODBURY - Nassau County residents and business owners can now apply for federal aid following Irene.

Residents can apply for several types of assistance through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), including money for repairing damaged homes.

As of now, Suffolk County residents are not eligible for FEMA funds, but lawmakers say they are trying to change that.
