FARMINGDALE - Nassau County police say help from the public has led to an arrest in a high-speed chase that left an officer badly injured several months ago. Police say the chase happened back in November when an officer tried to pull over a gray Honda, allegedly driven by Louie Blanton, of Amityville. The chase ended with the officer crashing her vehicle on the Southern State Parkway in Farmingdale.Police say they're still looking for another suspect who was riding with Blanton during the chase. Blanton was arraigned today on six charges, and a judge set his bail at $500,000 bond or $250,000 cash.The officer is still recovering from her extensive injuries.
