NEW HYDE PARK - A Nassau police officer is recovering after a struggle with a driver in New Hyde Park yesterday, officials say. Police say Joel Dagauillard, of Miami, had marijuana on his front seat when he was stopped on Hillside Avenue. The driver's two children were in the back without their seatbelts on, according to police. Daguillard refused to get out of the car, and the officer's hand was cut during a struggle.
