WOODBURY - More than two dozen Nassau County park workers may soon lose their jobs.

According to Newsday, the county legislature is set to consider a workforce reduction plan tomorrow. The Parks, Recreation and Museums Department reportedly faces 25 job cuts.

County Executive Ed Mangano says the reduction would save an estimated $1.7 million each year.

Park advocates say the cuts will hurt operations at several sites and cause the deterioration of some of Nassau's historic sites.
