Nassau library receives large donation

The Port Washington Library just got a lot better after receiving a large donation from a single donor.Arnold Saltzman, 95, donated $300,000 to the library.

PORT WASHINGTON - The Port Washington Library just got a lot better after receiving a large donation from a single donor.

Arnold Saltzman, 95, donated $300,000 to the library. The money will be used to fund programs like career counseling, academic support and English language classes.

The reading room at the library has been renamed in honor of Saltzman and his wife, Joan. A special ceremony will be held later this month.To watch an interview with Ambassador Saltzman, click on News 12 Extra on Optimum TV channel 612.
