WOODBURY - The Nassau County Legislature passed a bill today that would bring 50 new red light cameras to the county.

The bill was passed by a vote of 17-1 and now needs the signature of Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano (R-Nassau) to take effect.

Lawmakers who sponsored the bill say tickets from the red light cameras could bring in an estimated $17 million to the county.
