MINEOLA - Dozens of Nassau County workers are days away from losing their jobs after lawmakers approved a big round of layoffs last night.Angry workers chanted ?we?ll remember in November? as lawmakers voted to lay off employees to balance the county budget. The 128 layoffs are expected to save taxpayers $10.6 million a year.

On Friday, the workers will officially be unemployed.

The CSEA is challenging the layoffs, especially where private contractors will be used to fill union jobs.
