BALDWIN - ? Many Baldwin residents have power for the first time in two weeks, thanks to Nassau County officials.

National Grid says it does not have enough inspectors to check damaged homes to see if it is safe to turn power on.

Nassau County officials took matters into their own hands and brought in 200 electricians to check the houses. The extra crew has allowed utility crews to bring back power to homes in Baldwin Harbor.
