WOODBURY - Tom Suozzi’s challenger in the Democratic primary for Nassau County executive is hoping voters will turn out for a political newcomer.
Businessman Adam Haber, of East Hills, says he knocked on more than 6,000 doors over the past two years in an effort to drum up support. Haber's worked in the financial sector for the past 25 years and was also a member of the Roslyn school board.
If elected, he says he knows what his first move as executive will be.

“First thing I want to do is take the money that's been taken from the youth and social services and make sure it stays there for good,” said Haber. “Put it in a lock box and throw away the key.”
