MINEOLA - A solemn ceremony was held today honoring two Nassau County police officers who died in the line of duty.

Police officers Joseph Olivieri and Arthur Lopez were added to the Honor Roll in the memorial garden.

Commissioner Thomas Dale thanked the officers' families for their sacrifice and promised the ongoing support of the entire department.

Floral tributes were also placed at the memorial honoring all deceased members of the Nassau County Police Department.
