GARDEN CITY - Nassau County Community College held a Board of Trustees meeting tonight to discuss a private email that was made public, and the selection process for the college's next president.
Trustee Anthony Cornachio allegedly used racist and sexist remarks to describe colleagues in the private email that was made public. One campus minority group is now officially calling for his immediate removal.
Attendees also raised questions about the selection process being used to find the college's next president. Logan Kenney, student representative to the selection committee, says interviews with potential candidates were scheduled during her class times. When she complained, she was told to skip class or skip the interviews.
