ROSLYN - A popular Nassau County catering hall has closed following reports of more than 100 patrons getting sick there.

Health Commissioner Dr. Lawrence Eisenstein says the closure order of the Swan Club in Roslyn will be in effect through Thursday. No pathogen has been confirmed yet, and the club is cooperating with the department.

Sanitation teams were on site Wednesday, cleaning and disinfecting the space.

General manager Shelly Silver says it was the club that called the county Board of Health after receiving the first complaint.

Nassau health officials say they are investigating the reports of guests complaining of gastrointestinal illnesses after attending two separate parties at the club.

There's no word on whether the illness is foodborne, but the club served about 2,500 people last weekend. All staff members have been tested, although there's no word on when the results will be released.
