Muslim leaders claim illegal NYPD surveillance in new report
BROOKLYN - Muslim leaders have released a report documenting what they call illegal spying on their community by the NYPD for the past 10 years.
Dozens of Muslim activists gathered at NYPD headquarters to deliver the report to Commissioner Ray Kelly.
The report, titled "Mapping Muslims," says that the group has been spied on at colleges, places of worship and restaurants, including many locations in Brooklyn.

The leaders are asking for an investigation of the NYPD and for new laws to be put in place to stop illegal surveillance.
