MTA urges LI Bus to cut service before running out of money

WOODBURY - Officials say Long Island Bus has a choice to cut service or run out of money. According to Newsday, the MTA says it needs to slash bus service if it can't get more money from Nassau County.

The cuts could mean eliminating half of all service just to keep the bus line going through the end of the year. The MTA has stopped giving money to LI Bus, and Nassau County is looking for a private company to run the bus line.
