The MTA has worked out a contingency plan for commuters if LIRR workers strike next month.

Newsday has obtained what it says is the LIRR strike contingency plan and the MTA says the plan only accommodates about one-third of commuters going to New York.

The plan would set up car pool lots at Citi Field and Aqueduct Race Track, as well as state parks in Valley Stream, Hempstead and Bethpage....
