WOODBURY - Crews have wrapped up plowing on most area roadways, but drivers say giant mounds of leftover snow are creating potentially dangerous conditions.

Residents say the huge snow piles created by plows are blocking their view at intersections. Drivers say they're forced to inch out into oncoming traffic to see if another vehicle is coming.

Robert Sinclair, of AAA, advises drivers to try counting cars as they go by and to be patient.

The Nassau County Highway Department says it's up to each individual municipality to decide how high the snow mounds can be.
