SELDEN - A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash involving a Jeep last night in Selden.

Police say 52-year-old James Barter, of Centereach, was riding his motorcycle on Middle Country Road at around 9:15 p.m. yesterday when he collided with a Jeep turning onto Boyle Road.

Barter was taken to Stony Brook University Medical Center in serious condition.

The driver of the Jeep was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
