MANHATTAN - A high-powered attorney is representing one of the motorcyclists allegedly involved in the SUV assault on the West Side Highway.

Gloria Allred has been hired by Edwin Mieses Jr., 32, one of two victims struck by a Range Rover after bikers boxed it in on the roadway. Allred says Mieses was trying to calm the situation when the driver, Alexian Lien, hit the gas and ran him over.

"Let us not lose sight that Mr. Mieses had done nothing to Mr. Lien," says Allred.

Mieses suffered a number of injuries, including a broken spine which could leave him paralyzed. Allred says she isn't sure if she'll pursue a lawsuit against Lien.
