ROSLYN HARBOR - Mothers and daughters hit the catwalk in Roslyn Harbor tonight to raise money for the fight against pancreatic cancer.
"Fashion for the Cure" was put together by two 16-year-old friends, Sophie Fritz and Becky Broxmeyer, who have lost loved ones to the deadly disease.
So far the girls have raise nearly $125,000 for the Lustgarten Foundation and believe that after the show's raffle and silent auction, they'll have reached close to $200,000. They hope the money will help improve early detection screenings and find better therapies for patients.
The Lustgarten Foundation is underwritten by Cablevision, the parent company of News 12.
